I am Consuelo Santiago-Martinez, a successful business owner and mother of three children. Initially, I was born and raised in the Dominican Republic, blessed with an older brother and two younger sisters. My family was and still is extremely hard-working and goal oriented. My parents, like many other Dominican families, migrated to the United States in search of a better life for our family. They both applied themselves to their jobs; My father as a mechanic, and my mother as a factory worker. As a child, my mother would always express to me and my siblings that, “leaving us behind was the hardest thing she ever had to do”. The effect of my parents’ work ethic and sacrifices shaped me into the person I am today; I owe my achievements and success to them.

Being the first in my family to obtain a high school diploma and a college degree was my first substantial achievement. I’m a graduate from Mother Cabrini High School and I received my undergraduate and master’s degree from Binghamton University in 2004. While attending college, I met my amazing husband, Hielly Martinez, whom I’ve been married to since 2006. Together, our lives have been blessed with 3 wonderful children.

Family is a principal aspect in my life and to me it is important that I set a good example for my children. I choose to pay attention to the impact my actions can have on them. Working as State Farm Agent, I can show my children that there is no limit as to what they can achieve. I emphasize the importance of hard work, certain it’ll teach them that if they put in the effort, they will persevere. As a State Farm agent, I also get a chance to make a difference in people’s lives. I am passionate about helping other people in my community, hoping to leave them with a positive impact. My job is to help people with families of their own, to prepare for the unexpected and build generational wealth for their loved ones.

My State Farm journey started when my husband opened our first agency in 2008. Today we are the proud owners of 3 State Farm offices.
